In 2014 we took part in a large and important project at the National visa center within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria. Our task was to configure the backup and archiving system with the current tape libraries and disk arrays using .
Some of the core elements of our solution are:
- Providing a reliable system for backing and restore of the data so no data could be lost in case of a data center shut down.
- The fast recovery is provided as recent data are being kept on fast disc storage subsystem and there is also another copy on tapes.
- The data is secured through a replication to the backup data center.
- For quick identification of upcoming issues we have built a complex monitoring system for the whole infrastructure.
