First comes the name. Since 11th September 2015, the date of the General Availability announcement from IBM, Tivoli Storage Manager and the whole Tivoli family becomes IBM Spectrum Protect. But it is not only the name.
IBM Spectrum Protect features a scalable architecture and modular design that helps organizations of all sizes meet their data protection requirements with more efficiency and confidence
The official information doesn’t cover many of the most useful new features and improvements. They exactly are the focus of this seminar, led by Mr. Chavdar Cholev – the only one TSM guru in Bulgaria.
Chavdar Cholev, Director Integration & Technology Services at Openintegra, has more than 10 years experience with deployment and administration of IBM Tivoli Storage Manager. He is the only one IBM certified and approved TSM trainer in Bulgaria, and also IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Administrator and Deployment Professional.
Before joining Openintegra in 2011, Chavdar Cholev was working as an infrastructure architect at IBM Bulgaria, responsible for the IT infrastructure of enterprises like Mobiltel (Mtel), BTC (now Vivacom), Globul (now Telenor), Borika/Bankservice, Telerik (now a Progress company), Kaven Orbico, Chelopech Mining (now part of Dundee Precious Metals) and others. During the same period he was on assignment working for Novartis as Eastern Europe Service Manager responsible for 11 countries and also for their storage, tape and data infrastructure.
Many of these corporations, along with the new customers of Openintegra, continue to rely on Mr. Cholev’s and his team’s IBM TSM expertise for their daily data backup, archiving, protection and disaster recovery operations until now.
